PASOI WINDSKATING PORTUGAL

Connection One Was Born!

In 2019, we were in Portugal, equally stoked about windsurfing and longboarding—two passions that filled our days with joy. However, when the wind was light, our windsurfing sessions took a hit. During one such period, an idea arose: What if we could combine our two passions? What if we could windsurf on a longboard?

The traditional approach would be to drill a hole in the longboard to make room for the mast base of a windsurf board. But the thought alone was enough to make any longboarder cringe. Damaging our beloved boards in that way? No, that was not going to work. It felt wrong, almost sacrilegious.

When we returned home to Germany, we were determined to make our idea a reality. We started working on our first prototype, creating not just an altered longboard but an entirely new tool designed specifically to harness the wind’s power.

I remember the first day we tried it. We were out in the fields, with the wind in our sails and the longboard beneath our feet. As we cruised across the landscape, the feeling was exhilarating. It was like flying on wheels—a combination of thrilling speed and the board’s smooth glide.

That was when we realized we had stumbled upon something special. It was more than a way to fill the windless hours; it was a sport in its own right. It was windskating. That day, we decided this incredible experience deserved its own purpose-built product.
